Casa dos Ventos, a reference in renewable energy and a protagonist in Brazil's energy transition, has partnered with Rima Industrial, a leader in the production and marketing of silicon and magnesium-based alloys in the country, to supply 20 MW of clean energy on average for a period of 15 years.
The contract has a duration of 15 years and the energy will be supplied by the Rio do Vento Wind Complex, one of the largest projects of its kind in the world.
The partnership will allow Rima to avoid the annual emission of approximately 80,000 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere per year and reinforces the company's commitment to the decarbonization journey of its activities. "Our actions are guided by a commitment to our employees, the communities we are part of, and sustainable development," it states on its institutional website.
