Casa dos Ventos and Mosaic expanded their partnership for renewable energy self-production with the commercial operation of another park, part of the Serra do Tigre Wind Complex, which began in April. Located between Rio Grande do Norte and Paraíba, the venture now includes the fertilizer manufacturer as a shareholder. The long-term contract, signed in 2025, establishes the supply of 25 average MW from the wind farm.
Evolution of the self-production model and financial impacts
The new operation follows the first agreement signed between the companies in 2022, in which Mosaic acquired a stake in the Umari Wind Complex for the supply of 30 average MW under a self-production model. Mosaic estimates savings of approximately R$ 330 million over the term of the contracts at its phosphate production units. This initiative consolidates the advancement of self-production in the Brazilian market as a strategic alternative for electro-intensive industries, ensuring cost predictability, energy security, and competitiveness.
