Besides being the leader in the development of wind farms in Brazil, we also invest in solar projects. In order to develop solar power plants with reduced uncertainty and increased reliability of generation, we invested in a wide campaign of solar resource measurements. This is done by installing solarimetric stations in the regions of greater solar incidence in the country and in the regions where we already have wind projects.
The latter, besides being in regions of high solar potential, still benefit from the electrical infrastructure of the existing wind farms. An example of this is the Fótons de São Patrício Complex, located next to the Tianguá wind farm in Ceará. The project will consist of four photovoltaic power plants and will have an installed capacity of 122.4 MW. The project will connect at the same substation of the wind farm and will consist of approximately 450,000 polycrystalline modules.
