Casa dos Ventos is a pioneer and leading developer of wind projects in Brazil. Ten years in the market, we are responsible for the largest number of projects that sold energy in government auctions and that celebrated power purchase agreements through bilateral contracts in the free market. These projects total approximately 5.5 GW of installed capacity and represent around 30% of all wind farms under construction or operation in the country.
Through proprietary methodology to identify and assess wind resources, we detain the largest portfolio in the country with projects in Piauí, Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Pernambuco, Paraíba and Bahia totaling 15.5 GW of installed capacity, in addition to projects already mentioned above.

Projects in Operation
In order to contribute to a cleaner energy matrix and the sustainable development of Brazil, we are constantly seeking new business opportunities, especially in the northeast region of the country.
Ventos do Araripe III
On the border between Piauí and Pernambuco and on top of the Chapada do Araripe, the wind farm Ventos do Araripe III will consist of 14 wind farms. With 156 wind turbines and an installed capacity of 360 MW, this wind farm will be one of the largest in Latin American.

In total, 71 properties were leased in the municipalities of Simões (PI) and Araripina (PE), covering an area of 10.200 hectares for the installation of the wind farms. Besides the wind farms, Casa dos Ventos was responsible for the construction of a 35 km transmission line to connect them to the National Interconnected System (SIN). The Ventos do Araripe III Complex received a R $ 1.8 billion investment, started commercial operation of the first turbines in November 2016, and with the expectation of the last ones coming online in May 2017.
